Nice place 89 – Boboli Gardens (Florence)

If we wanted to become American, we could say that the Boboli Gardens are Florence’s Central Park. But in reality they are much more than that.
The Boboli Gardens are a real open-air museum that surrounds Palazzo Pitti in embrace, an authentic park to visit and discover in every detail. The beauty of the Gardens, which alternate and harmoniously combine centuries-old plants to beautiful sculptures, has always captured the interest of visitors from around the world, and inspired the creation of equally famous works, such as, for example, those of Versailles.
The Gardens that we can admire today are the result of an enrichment process that lasted from the 15th to the 20th century and that saw the noble families of the city, in particular the Medici and the Lorraine, engaged in the front line.
Inside the Green Park there are many places to visit, such as the amphitheater, the Fountain of Cariofo, the Fountain of Neptune, the Great Cave and the Viottolone.
