Statue of Sallustio Bandini
This marble statue was built by Tito Sarrocchi and depicts Sallustio Bandini, a prominent figure of Sienese society during the eighteenth century, he was involved in economics, politics, religion and literature. Bandini is considered one of the inventors of the remote payment system, the ancestor of the bill. His most famous work is the "Discorso sopra la Maremma di Siena" which describes the living conditions of the Maremma population.
