It is a small town located near Casciano whose toponym could derive from Allodola, or Lodola as it is in use to say from our parts. The Lodola or Allodola is a small bird with a curious tuft on the head whose characteristic behaviour consists in rising higher and higher as if it wanted to reach the sun, describing wide circles and continuing to chirp without interrupting and then plunging into a dizzying dive to the edge of the ground. Continuing on the Via di Vallerano, we can reach the homonymous village. Village of probable Roman foundation.
