It is a small hamlet of Casciano di Murlo located at the beginning of the road to Vallerano and near the fork of the road leading to the ancient path to the rice fields, the Regia Grossetana and the Bagni del Doccio. The etymology of its name is uncertain even if it refers to some characteristic or event whose memory has been lost.
