The Castle of the Four Towers (or Torri) is a fourteenth-century fortification located in the territory of the municipality of Siena.
Over the years the castle has changed destination and many owners. Born, in fact, with the purpose of carrying out the function of defense of the city of the Palio, in particular under the possessions of the families of the Cinughi and Bichi, after the establishment of the Medici domination in the city became a simple country residence.
The four towers, similar in height and shape and from which the entire structure takes its name, are built mainly in brick. The small gardens of geometric hedges along the escarpment that separates the outer wall from the building are evocative.
For over a century owned by the Ponticelli family, today it is partly used as a Bed & Breakfast.
